his motion seems sort of systematic... like "Think! move head. Think! move leg. Think! move other leg." etc. Might it help if his torso lunged forward (to the left on Floyd's plane) before he turned around to look behind him? I'm just trying to think of the snap you like putting in all of your stuff, wind up and pitch kind of thing (anticipating the movement).
however, the systematic thing may help reinforce a dawning realization (like a quadruple take maybe). It's still cool! $.02 deposited!
i think maybe having the tail move a couple frames behind the body would help distract the eye better. also a trick i like to use now is skewing a frame or two at the beginning and ending of exaggerated moves in the opposite direction. whee, flash!
That's awesome! Nice cartoony animation! I would speed up the head turn and the final body turn just a hair. That'd make it snapier and create better contrast with the eye look and the footplants. Rock on!
